SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY
Sunday School is very important to us at Lake Drive, because the foundation of Sunday School is God's Word! The Bible says that we are to "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that doesn't need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Timothy 2:15. The study of God's Word is one of the most important things a Christian can do, and Sunday School is a great place to start.
Each Sunday School class is taught by a teacher who loves the Lord, studies his/her lesson material, and comes prepared to share the Word in Spirit and in Truth.

JUNIOR CHURCH
The Children's Ministry at
Lake Drive is lead by Marc and Mandy Bailey and serves those children
in grades 1 through 5.
Children's
Church is located on the 2nd floor of the main building and begins at
11:00 am. Children within this age group are involved in a
complete worship service, including praise & worship music,
prayer
time, offering and studying of God's Word through "FIRM FOUNDATIONS" by
New Tribes Ministries.
Children's Church is for children who are ages 3 through kindergarten and is dismissed from the main service following the choir music. This ministry is lead by a rotating staff of qualified volunteers.
AWANA
Why AWANA? Because kids matter to God! AWANA is an acronym for the phrase "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." It is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 -- Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Our goal at Lake Drive Baptist is and has always been to get as MUCH of God's Word, as DEEP as we can, into as MANY children's hearts as we can. We believe that when you touch the heart of a child, you touch the heart of God. That is one reason why we are here and why we do what we do. AWANA is for children ages 2 through 5th grade. We also provide a Nursery for babies. Our AWANA program is open to the entire community and meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. If you do not have a church that you call home, our doors at Lake Drive are wide open. Every One is Welcome.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Our Student Ministry (6th grade thru 12th grades) meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Our teenagers are divided into two groups: Middle School and High School. We enjoy a game time, praise and worship, and a Bible Study. There are also other fun and exciting activities planned each month. Our goal is to draw these students to Christ through the example of our love for them and through God's Holy Word. We desire for them to have a firm foundation to stand on, that they may lead others to Christ.
UPWARD BASKETBALL AND CHEERLEADING
This ministry is open to boys and girls age 5 through 9th graders. We are in our 2nd season with Upward and it is a tremendous success. We give God all the Glory for His Many Blessings that has enabled us to work with all of these wonderful children. Devotions and prayer are being led at half-time of each game and the concession stand is also very successful. The End of Season Celebration will be on March 6th, 2010. We now look forward to next year. Watch for the announcements. Registration is usually in October.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY
Lake Drive has something for the entire family on Wednesday Nights. We have two adult Bible Studies each Wednesday: Adults and Young Adults. The Adults meet in the Sanctuary and is led by Pastor, David Haynes. The Young Adults meet in the Family Life Center and is led by Alex Hanevich. While your children are in AWANA or Youth Group classes, make plans to stay with us. We also provide a nursery for babies each Wednesday Night!
