A Line From the Pastor

It's good to be back home at Lake Drive. After being gone last weekend, and being at the Tennessee Baptist Convention, it seems like a month since I've been at Lake Drive. I heard Dr. Hutchings and Bro. Rusty did a great job in my absence.

Anyone interested in helping in the Upward Ministry by coaching a team, please see Marc Bailey or Janet Williams.

Upward needs scholarship donors for families that can't afford for their children to play or cheer. The cost per child is $60. Any amount will be appreciated. See Jim or Doris Stout for more details or for any questions you might have.

We need more people to serve in the nursery. If you can serve, please see Sherrie Perrin. Our ideal is to have a nursery rotation list where people will be scheduled to have nursery duty one Sunday during each quarter.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS: In our attempt to reach an average Sunday School attendance of 100 for the month of November, we are doing great! For the first two Sundays, we averaged 105. Keep up the good work and see you in class!

When we get into our new building, we will be starting a brand new Sunday School class. This class is for Young Married Couples and will be taught by Bro. Rusty Grant. If you are young and married, make a note and plan to join the class as they begin searching God's Word for answers to life's questions.
